After a recent visit to this Italian restaurant left me thoroughly disappointed by the quality of their pizza, I took a moment to peruse past reviews, hoping to find solace in shared experiences. Alas, my dismay was validated by a plethora of dissatisfied customers echoing similar sentiments. Regrettably, the responses from the customer service team appear to be a mere formality, offering little reassurance beyond promises to relay concerns to management—a promise that seems to yield no tangible improvements.

To be candid, the pizza I encountered was unequivocally the worst I've ever tasted. A glaring departure from tradition, the absence of authentic mozzarella cheese was unmistakable. The presentation lacked finesse, the sauce—a pivotal component in any respectable pizza—hovered on the brink of nonexistence, and the base was so insubstantial it could scarcely be called a foundation for toppings. This was not a thin crust; this was a whisper of dough.

It's disheartening that despite the restaurant's idyllic setting, boasting picturesque views and service that, while adequate, fails to compensate for the culinary disappointment. An establishment bearing the banner of Italian cuisine ought to uphold the standards set by its heritage—a subpar pizza dish does a disservice not only to its patrons but also to the rich culinary legacy of Italy itself. This was such a lovely spot and definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The location is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view of the sea that creates the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed lunch or dinner. The menu offers a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, so there’s something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for something classic or want to try something a bit different.

We were really lucky to get a table just as one became available, because the place was clearly very popular and quite busy. I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you want to be sure of a spot, especially during peak times.

The service was excellent, friendly, fast, and welcoming. A lovely and very efficient lady took care of us, and she really made us feel at home. I regret not asking her name because I would’ve loved to mention her in this review. It’s always such a pleasure when the staff adds that extra personal touch to your dining experience.

Com totes les Tagliatellas. Ja saps que hi trobaràs, carta unificada, quantitats molt generoses, bona presentació, ambient agradable i una decoració molt cuidada, a més generalment bon servei. Però a l'Escala tenen un plus que és el seu enclavament privilegiat. Les vistes,sobretot al pis de dalt, són molt boniques.Per mi la millor franquícia de la província inclús per damunt de la d´'Empuriabrava. Havia estat en una ocasió al pis de dalt, avui sense reserva ens hem conformat amb una taula al costat de la finestra al pis de baix. He de dir que no sóc amant de visitar massa sovint cap Tagliatella, doncs prefereixo la cuina catalana abans que el menjar italià, però de tant en tant s'ha de cedir una mica amb els petits de la casa, això sí sempre hi he menjat bé i en quantitat. He compartit un plat de tagliatelle molt bons. Ens han portat, pagant un plus, dos salseres, una amb carbonara i un altre amb bolognesa, ambdós molt bones. També una amanida que no he provat però que era molt bona, com totes les amanides de la casa impressionantment grossa i molt ben presentada. En quan a la pizza que hem compartit m'ha generat la mateixa sensació de sempre. Tothom està enamorat de les pizzes de la Tagliatella i a mi em produeixen relativa indiferència. Crec que hi ha autèntics restaruants italians que per meitat de preu tenen pizzes el triple de bones, però bé aquesta és una apreciació personal meva que segurament és minoritària. Amb les postres hem demanat dos copes de cava les quals no ens han volgut cobrar, cosa que és d'agrair. M'agradaria molt remarcar el que més m'ha sobtat de l'àpat. Normalment el servei als locals Tagliatella es bo però avui ens han atès una jove cambrera que francament ens ha sobtat perquè el servei no ha estat bo sinó immillorable. Inclús hem comentat que era sorprenent que una professional així estigués en un local com aquest, sense intenció de faltar però és que podria estar en qualsevol restaurant amb estrella. Feia temps que no ens sentíem tant ben servits. Absoluta professionalitat, gran amabilitat, esmerada atenció, agilitat... Dona gust trobar aquest servei en la hostaleria actual....
